What We Believe
Beliefs matter, and no two churches -- or even people -- hold the same values regarding Theology and Style.
We value candid conversations about spiritual matters. We can learn from each other as we all seek to be more like Jesus.
There are a few truths that we will never compromise on, and these are outlined below. In all things, we take our inspiration from Augustine:
In essentials, Unity;
in doubtful matters, Liberty;
in all things, Charity [Love].

Jesus
Everything we do at Pathway Church is about Jesus. He is the Son of God, who came to earth as a human being. He didn't die to make bad people good; he came to make dead people alive!
The Bible
God’s Word is central to all we do. We believe that it is God's message to all of us, and it is true from cover to cover. It is the story of God's work in the world, how we should live, and how to show His love to others.
Family
We believe Family is God's design to learn about His love and Character. We work to encourage and support parents/guardians through the challenges of parenting, and to give their kids a safe place to learn about God's goodness and love.
Positivity
Knowing Jesus is about experiencing real joy! He came to remove shame and guilt from our lives and to set us free from our chains. Our messages and meetings are upbeat and uplifting, while remaining true to God's Word. We encourage smiles and laughter as often as possible.
Empowerment
God has a purpose for your life--a place in this world that only you can fill. It's our job to help you discover what your mission is, then give you the training, resources, and support you need to become a life-changer!
Friends
Jesus is all about connections and belonging. Friendship gives us support and strength to make it through the hard times, and someone to laugh and share the good times with. Pathway Church isn't a place where we worship, it's a group of friends where we belong.
What We Believe
We believe the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and relevant to our everyday lives.
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy. The Lord Jesus Christ is both God and man and is the only one who can reconcile us to God. Each time we partake of communion we remember Jesus lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.
We believe sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. In order to receive forgiveness we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus Christ and submit to His will for our lives. God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and powerful lives in order to help others more effectively. In order to live the holy, fruitful, and power-filled lives God intends for us, we need to be baptized in water, set our mind on Him and His purpose, and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe God has individually equipped us and corporately gathered us as His living body so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives, which is to worship God, strengthen the Church, and share the Gospel with the community in which we live.
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised and will rule and reign on this earth. History will conclude as the wicked are judged and the righteous enter a new heaven and a new earth.

We partner with both the Southern Baptist Convention, the Blue River — Kansas City Baptist Association, and The Missouri Baptist Convention.
