What to Expect
What to Expect on a Sunday Morning
Most people first visit Pathway Church during the Sunday Morning Worship Service that starts at 10:30 am. We strive to make these meetings comfortable and accessible for anyone with any level of experience with Jesus -- even those entirely new to church.
Our goal is to make you feel comfortable. We're casual, relaxed, and welcoming. We're all imperfect people who come from all walks of life, and hope you'll find someone here that you can connect with.
What to Wear
Come as you are, or don't come at all! You can get as dressed up or dressed down as you like. Some of us wear dresses or ties and slacks, others wear t-shirts and shorts. Feel free to just be yourself.
Finding Pathway
We're easy to find, located right on South Madison (also known as School Road) in Raymore, right across from Rec Park. There are guest parking spots right by the front door, but feel free to park wherever you like.

Before
There are greeters inside the door handing out bulletins containing information about our service, and they're happy to point you to the nursery or any other place you'd like to go. The main room (the "sanctuary") is right through the entryway when you come in, so it's easy to find.
We offer a table of doughnuts and snacks before the service, so feel free to grab a quick breakfast there if you haven't already. There's something different every week, and our kids always love raiding it before things kick off for the morning.
Worship Service
Our service starts at 10:30 on Sundays. In our worship, we like to keep things simple. We begin with modern, upbeat music, followed by notes about upcoming events and other important announcements for the group.
The messages (sermons) are focused on the Bible, and use modern language that we all can understand. These messages are more than positive, they're designed to help each of us find practical ways to live out our faith. We want to leave inspired, hopeful, and challenged as we face the coming week.
After the message, we take up our offering and end with a final song.
Afterward
Many of us stick around to talk after the service just to talk. We'd love to take this time to get to know you, and we also completely understand if you're like some of us were at first and would like to take some time to get more familiar with the people of Pathway before you decide to hang out after things are done.
The last thing we ever want to see is for someone to feel completely unnoticed or invisible when they visit us. We're all important to God, and we want to feel important to us as well.
Giving
We take up an offering during the service, and we also believe what each person gives is between them and God.
We do have a "connection card" that you can fill out just to let us know that you visited and if you have any questions, or if there is any way that we can pray for you. We'll never contact you without your permission. If you want, you can just drop that in the offering plate as it goes by.
As our guest, you have no obligation to put anything in the offering plate.
Parents
We provide a nursery for small children so you can focus on hearing what God has to say to you that day.
We love the sound of kids in our service, and if you prefer to keep you children with you, we have a Wiggle Room available at the rear of the main room where you can take your kiddos if they get restless during the service.
Going Further
Our goal is to make you feel comfortable. We're casual, relaxed, and welcoming. We're all imperfect people who come from all walks of life, and hope you'll find someone here that you can connect with.
Our Sunday meetings are just one way to get to know us. We offer Life Groups that meet in homes during the week where you can get to know people better.
